Moab Rafting Morning Half-Day Trip

Overview
Castle Valley is the poster child for Western landscapes, and you’ve probably already seen it somewhere in a John Wayne movie, TV show, or a commercial or two. And if somehow you have, in fact, never laid eyes on Castle Valley before, you’re not going forget it once you do!

This serene section of the Colorado River moseys through a big beautiful valley lined with monuments. Along the way are some of Utah’s most impressive geologic features like Fisher Towers, Castleton Tower, the Priest and Nuns, and more.

As for the waters here along the Colorado River, it stays pretty warm from late spring to early fall. You’ll spend most of your time floating, with a few Class II rapids to cool you off along the way. Expect plenty of fascinating interpretations and fun stories from your river guide on this mild trip!

Our rafting tour with Mild to Wild Moab was absolutely amazing! We did the 1/2 day morning trip which was the perfect amount of time for our family of 7. The smooth water trip had 2 class 2 rapids and 2 class 3 rapids which were amazing! Our guide, Elise, was friendly, knowledgeable, and kept us well entertained. Ronnie also made the safety briefing fun and engaging. Definitely recommend Mild to Wild Moab and will be going back in the future!

All the facts that our tour guide told us, during the rafting trip, thanks Veronica, “Roni” for everything!

We had a fantastic guide and the scenery was glorious. As promised, the rafting was mild and very relaxing, which was fine for us. Unfortunately the “half-day” experience was misleading. Spent about an hour total on the bus back and forth to the river, and the actual rafting was only an hour and 25 minutes. This was disappointing for us.

Thank you for your review Dennis! Unfortunately with the water at the levels it is currently at, the trip is shorter but splashier than normal due to the limited amount of put-ins and take-outs that are accessible to us. Our 1/2 day trips are advertised as 2 hours on the water time, and then round trip they are longer with the shuttling to and from the river. We are sad to hear you are disappointed and would love to chat with you more about how we can improve! Feel free to reach us at our office (970) 247-4789.
