What To Expect

Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park

Your guide would take you to see the beautiful iconic buttes, spires and mesas that have made Monument Valley famous on part of the 17 mile loop drive. We would then go to the back country restricted areas of the Tribal Park to stand beneath the natural arches, amp theaters and get right up close to the Anasazi petroglyphs. Our guides are so kind and would explain the traditional meanings of each location, history, and culture while answering any question that you might think of. Navajo Spirit Tours does not shy away from some of the spiritual topics that you might not hear about on a regular day. We do try our best in the short amount of time that we have with each of our guests to teach as much as we can while you are here. We do look forward to meeting you!

We scheduled a full day tour. We did Mystery Valley and Monument Valley. We have the same guide for both. We did a private tour so it was just two couples and our guide. He was amazing! Larry S. took us all over both areas and we learned so much! He is truly a blessing!

I'm not sure if he told you the connections in our company. He is like a brother to me. He is actually my uncle, my moms brother. We graduated high school together in Monument Valley and have always been close. We were brought up together learning the culture and enjoying this beautiful land. The place is absolutely incredible and definitely recommended but the tour itself is probably just not worth it. The tour guide wasn't really the most talkative person. He was taking us around, without much conversation or explanations about the valley or what we were doing. It did not feel like he was enjoying it himself tbh. It's frankly too expensive as a tour to be so dull. Monument Valley is incredible thou, check it out ! Just get a different tour guide, there's plenty !

I have thought of how to respond to your review. We decided the best way was to contact the others who went with you on tour prior to writing my response. We were concerned after reading your other reviews on other businesses that it was a habit to write 1 and 2 star reviews on Trip Adviser. This seems to be the case this time. The others on the tour said they had a five star experience and that the guide narrated the tour. This is so unfortunate that you felt that your experience wasn't the same. There were two other groups with you. A single person and a group of four. We also saw you did not go through our office to reserve the tour but instead went directly to Viator. We recommend you go through our website or our office if you have questions prior to arrival or concerns. It may have been in your interest to have called to office so you knew exactly what you were signing up for ahead of time. It seems like this is an activity you should avoid in the future. My assumption is that you would have preferred a loud speaker from the back of the open air truck. We like to preserve the integrity of the Valley, we do not use loud speakers for this reason. One thing I can guarantee you is that our guides care and will stop to answer any question you have. If you would have communicated with them any need you had they would have addressed it. I am so disappointed in your review. I really hope when others read it that they research what you have said about so many other companies. This is a hard time for so many. It is a hard time for us at Navajo Spirit tours. We are just trying to recover from a two year shut down. To write mean reviews just to be mean is so uncalled for. I hope the rest of your vacation was better than the beginning. I hope you find businesses along the way that will give you happiness. Michelle Holiday

We loved this tour! Larsen was an amazing guide, so knowledgeable and kind. We had 3 kids and 2 adults. He tailored it to us. We got to see so much more than just what’s in the postcards and got a wonderful appreciation for the Navajo people and culture. You won’t be disappointed!
