Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park
Your guide would take you to see the beautiful iconic buttes, spires and mesas that have made Monument Valley famous on part of the 17 mile loop drive. We would then go to the back country restricted areas of the Tribal Park to stand beneath the natural arches, amp theaters and get right up close to the Anasazi petroglyphs. Our guides are so kind and would explain the traditional meanings of each location, history, and culture while answering any question that you might think of. Navajo Spirit Tours does not shy away from some of the spiritual topics that you might not hear about on a regular day. We do try our best in the short amount of time that we have with each of our guests to teach as much as we can while you are here. We do look forward to meeting you!

Our guide Larson provided us with a wonderful tour of sites only possible with a guide. We drove the visitor loop ourselves earlier in the day but this experience was fully enriched by the insights and information Larson shared. He is knowledgeable and open and very insightful. I truly appreciated his candor. His knowledge of history and culture were excellent and he was willing and ready to answer all questions we gave him. He played the flute for us at the Hogan which was an absolute highlight to our visit. In addition we had a chance to see some of the petroglyphs which can only be viewed from a guided tour.

This was our first visit to Monument Valley and we debated about taking a guided tour. Don, our guide with Navajo Spirit Tours was absolutely amazing and gave us so much information about the culture of the Navajo and the history of many tribes that you just can't get without a guide. Seeing the part of the park that can only be seen with a guided tour added so much more than just taking the self-drive. Taking the self-drive lets you see a lot of the incredible scenery, but taking a guided tour gives you so much more and made you feel like you were more a part of it than just a visitor. Don showed us the best places and composition for photos we would not have gotten otherwise. We only had 5 in our group and we saw other tour vehicles with 3 times that many.

This is our second time booking Navajo Spirit Tours and their service and knowledge is second to none!!! Excellent guides and their pride in their culture and land is very evident. This year we did the Navajo mini Retreat with Don and Gary and we had an experience like none other. Very frank and honest discussion of the Navajo culture and beliefs while sitting in an authentic hogan. This was a one-in-a-lifetime experience!!! Highly recommend this experience!!!
