What To Expect

Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park

Your guide would take you to see the beautiful iconic buttes, spires and mesas that have made Monument Valley famous on part of the 17 mile loop drive. We would then go to the back country restricted areas of the Tribal Park to stand beneath the natural arches, amp theaters and get right up close to the Anasazi petroglyphs. Our guides are so kind and would explain the traditional meanings of each location, history, and culture while answering any question that you might think of. Navajo Spirit Tours does not shy away from some of the spiritual topics that you might not hear about on a regular day. We do try our best in the short amount of time that we have with each of our guests to teach as much as we can while you are here. We do look forward to meeting you!

We had a wonderful afternoon exploring Monument Valley with our tour guide, Will. It’s hard to express how special this place is. Will brought it to life with his stories and even sang a traditional song for us. My kids (12 & 15) loved it as much as my husband and I. It is such a gorgeous place. Highly recommend this tour company. Even in August we were comfortable in the open air tour vehicle, but do bring water.

If you go to Monument Valley, you really need to book a tour. Don't drive through yourself! I originally thought that my family I would drive Monument Valley ourselves. Boy was I wrong and I was glad that my wife booked a tour because you're only be able to access a small fraction of the valley in the parts you're allowed to go to on your own. Plus, when my family and I went, we rented an SUV that definitely could not handle off-road parts of the valley. At any rate, I highly recommend Native Spirit Tours. Our guide, Don, was incredibly knowledgeable and patient with our kids. He took us to caves, petroglyphs, areas with cliff dwellings, and lots of vistas. We had an amazing time!

This tour was the best!!! Our Navajo guide, Don, took our tour to another level. Not only did he show us Monument Valley in all its glory, but he helped us understand this spiritual place with stories of his life in the area.
