Learning about the landmarks as well as the Navajo lifestyle and culture. See an authentic dwelling, and learn about rug weaving from a Navajo clan member.

My husband suggested a few months ago that we should go to Monument Valley and while I was happy to oblige his request I had little idea of what to expect. He made all the travel arrangements and serendipitously booked this tour. We could not have been more impressed with our Navajo guide, Larry Team, who shared the beauty of the scenery (wow!) as well as the history of the Navajo people, the culture and theology, the geology of the land, as well as completely unexpected gems like stopping in to visit one of the Valley residents who demonstrated spinning and weaving in a Hogan. Larry is a fantastic storyteller and has some amazing skills with a cell phone camera! If you are visiting Monument Valley, you definitely want to take this tour.

Monument Valley has been on our bucket list for years and when we got visitors from Germany, decided it was time. Booked the tour online. Meet up directions were a bit difficult, stating to meet in hotel lobby. Nope. Finally found out where, several tour companies share on spot. Anyway our guild showed up, five minutes early. Vera was our guide for the day. Very knowledgeable and first hand stories of life in the valley. Very interesting. At one point, the tour turned of onto a road marked for tours only. The tour is conducted on an open truck and it was cold to start. Suggest a blanket or heavier sweater. Toilet facilities are far and few and consists of basic portable outhouses. All in all, it was an excellent tour, well worth the time and cost. Hopefully, your guide will be Vera. She also has a beautiful singing voice!
