Bobby was a great tour guide. He was a wealth of information about the geology and history of the valley. We saw some amazing areas that are not on the regular road through the valley. The seating on the back of the truck was cushioned but because of the condition of the roads it was bumpy. Check the weather forecast and dress appropriately as it can be cool and breezy in the open seating area. The cost of the tour was well worth it. We loved it!

Content wise, I think it could be done in 2 hrs as opposed to 3.5. However, the biggest issue is the mode of transport - open seating on the back of a truck which with cold morning temps and wind, made it freezing cold. We couldn't wait for it to end. It was early May. An advisory is needed for tourists to wrap warmly. Clear perspex glass needs to be added to the front of the passenger seating to at least protect from the wind.

The truck leaves up by the hotel area. There is a small booth and trips being offered by other companies in the parking lot area so be aware there are several different companies here. Mine was safari. There was a Native American woman in that booth area who was very helpful...pointed me in the right direction. Out tour guide was Don and he was absolutely tremendous... a great guy , very proud and knowledgeable ..hopefully you will experience him when you go.. They are lucky to have him working for the company.
