The Monument Valley park was closed due to weather, so we went to Mystery Valley. Also a beautiful place. Enjoyed being close to the ruins, seeing petroglyphs, shards of ancient pottery around, and hearing stories of the ancients who lived here as well as present day inhabitants.

My wife and I had a great experience with the Monument Valley Tour guided by MV Safari's Don Mose. Don was very knowledgeable about the Park and its native people, and provided fascinating historical information about the Navajo nation and its relationship to other tribes. Don also took us to the best photo viewpoints and helped us set up some great shots using the monuments, terrain, and vegetation to enhance the photos. He was also very patient with my exploring nearby views for that additional "perfect picture." The guided tour was worth every penny. If you go to Monument Valley, check out MV Safari LLC and ask for Don Mose as your tour guide. Visiting in early Spring provided temperatures in the mid 50's, perfect for 3 to 4-hour hikes around West Mitten and other shorter hikes.

This tour was the highlight of our trip to Monument Valley. Our guide, Bobby Atene, was fabulous. We came away from our tour with a greater appreciation for Navajo culture, traditions, and way of life. Bobby went out of his way to point out special photo angles and features. And to top it all off, Bobby also share his excellent native flute playing skills to showcase the acoustics within the Big Hogan arch. We also very much appreciated that the tour vehicle was very clean, comfortable, and safe.
