On a quick visit to NY with my parents, we stopped by the Museum of the City of New York. We parked across the street since it was a Saturday. It was easy to get into. The exhibits were good, the staff were wonderful. We purchased a few items at the gift store. The staff also told us how to get to the Statue of Liberty.

We had a great day at the Museum of the City of NY. I don't think that many tourists get there. But it's worth the trip up 5th Avenue. Tour guide was OK. Exhibits and art and photography super.

I have visited NYC many times over many years but I learned more about this city from this museum then I would have ever guessed possible. So many wonderful displays and fun things to see. The museum staff was helpful and friendly. The museum of very clean and easy to get around, But one of the real gems of this place are the guided tours. This was the best part of my experience here. During my visit I took two different tours during the day. Both of the tour guides lead interesting, informative, thought provoking, and passionate presentations of aspects of this wonderful city. I was very impressed with their knowledge, skill, and ability to keep both tours exciting and eye opening. These tours and the tour guides left me with a perspective about the history of NYC and how it still retains it's unique and progressive character. I learned more about NYC in one day then years of visits. Do yourself a favor take a tour it is well worth the time.
