Mush Your Own Sled Dog Team (Summer/Fall Tour)

Overview
This is the only place in Alaska where you can mush your own team of dogs in the summer!

This is not a just a tour kennel; it is the training grounds and homestead of 4-time Iditarod champion, Dallas Seavey. All the dogs are either retired racing dogs (many have won the Iditarod), are currently on the race team, or are the next generation in training to become the next great champions! Our dogs are active and training year-round. As a guest musher here, you become part of Dallas Seavey Racing's year-round training program.

The group size for this experience is usually 6 or less people, with a guide assigned to each group, creating a very personal experience.

All of our dogs are extremely friendly, and love attention. Cuddle puppies, romp with young dogs, or walk with champions.

It was absolutely fantastic! The dogs were so happy and excited, and the guides were really knowledgeable and made it a wonderful experience. Mushing your own sled team is very easy to learn and really fun to do. The puppies were absurdly cute. Would definitely recommend!

The guides were very friendly and knowledgeable, and driving the sled was a lot of fun. During the tour we had stops to take pictures and switch between riding and driving. There was plenty of time after to see the kennels and play with the dogs.

This was one of the best things we did in Alaska. It was fast and exciting and you're driving your own team of four dogs. And man, do they pull! Chad and Ibby were very helpful providing color about dogsled racing. The dogs and puppies were great. Very friendly. It was terrific. And it gives new meaning to the phrase "only the lead dog sees new scenery!"
