Mush Your Own Sled Dog Team (Summer/Fall Tour)

Overview

This is the only place in Alaska where you can mush your own team of dogs in the summer!

This is not a just a tour kennel; it is the training grounds and homestead of 4-time Iditarod champion, Dallas Seavey. All the dogs are either retired racing dogs (many have won the Iditarod), are currently on the race team, or are the next generation in training to become the next great champions! Our dogs are active and training year-round. As a guest musher here, you become part of Dallas Seavey Racing's year-round training program.

The group size for this experience is usually 6 or less people, with a guide assigned to each group, creating a very personal experience.

All of our dogs are extremely friendly, and love attention. Cuddle puppies, romp with young dogs, or walk with champions.

We had a wonderful time during our sled dog tour. The staff was very knowledgeable and were happy to answer any questions that we had. We even had the opportunity to meet Dallas, Dallas was a pleasure and took the time to talk to all of us for awhile. Would definitely put this in top of your list of activities!

Loved getting to drive a 4 dog team along a 3 mile trail!! Fantastic!! Highly recommend on your trip thru Talkeetna. A don’t - miss experience. Getting a chance to play with the puppies and learn all about the Iditarod race was wonderful.
