Having just moved to Dallas, we decided o n a road trip to Houston with the goal of visiting NASA Space Center. My wife isn't a museum buff (hates reading) so she wasn't so ecstatic during the trip but I dont think she got bored. My 8 year old and I had a blast! There was so much history in the place and it wowed me to be there. The family membership was worth it if you're local coz you get to skip the long lines.

So I booked this tour because I had never been to Houston. Word of advice not worth it. An hour was spent, in a tour bus around Houston, downtown builds, which you can walk yourself and see in 20 mins. They kept going around the same buildings from different directions. Total waste of time. Then they split people into different picked packages, some to NASA, some for Galveston. I was on the NASA tour, they didn't count the number of people and were one short on the bus. So they split a group of 3 into 2 and 1, when we asked to be together, saying oh, 'they will be behind in another bus'. They were full on the other bus, so the person calls an Uber for 2 people. On the way to NASA, the person who called the Uber put wrong address, so we wasted an hour getting to NASA. We reached approx. 90 mins after everyone, when you only get approx. 4 hrs to spend at NASA. The person also told since we will get there late, they will call for an Uber on the way back. Finally, when we got there, they are like you reached on time with everyone else, now we have that extra seat on the bus, so get on the bus. We tried explaining how it was a screw up on their part, that we got there late, due to Uber fiasco but they didn't listen. Finally, we gave up and said we will get back on our own. Total waste of time and money. If you are single and don't want to spend 30$ approx. each direction then you can book this thing. Because 60$ + 30$ (NASA entry ticket) = 90$ a little expensive than this tour. But if I knew this before, I would have booked an Uber by myself, skip that whole downtown tour and saved much time to spend at NASA.

It was a very enjoyable and worthwhile experience. Learned a lot on the tour and we had enough time to get a bite to eat and take some great photographs. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Highly recommend this if you have extra time in Houston, with or without your kids.
