Even though a seemly amazing exhibit, not able to handle the size of the crowd attending. Waited for 1 and 1/2 hours to go on the Mission Control Tram Tour. The tour consisted of riding around the facility and having certain buildings pointed out. We did stop at Mission Control to see where the first messages from the moon were heard. Interesting, but not quite worth the 1 1/2 hour wait.( Suggestion- need more trams) Also, went to hear a former astronaut speak about her experience. That was interesting. However, they had trouble with the audio and at times we could not hear her. It would have helped if they had closed the doors to the auditorium. People were still coming in once she started speaking. Think it could be an awesome experience if some management skills were enhanced. Look to Disney Company for advice as to how to handle huge crowds more efficiently.

Went with my grandson and brother. It was a very hot day but it did not deter us from taking the tram ride around the campus. The lines to board a tram were long but the fans kept us cool as we waited the 15 minutes or so for our tram. Got to see the engineering building from the inside and the Saturn V building. The balance of the tour is just a bunch of buildings. The entrance fee also allows you to tour the Boeing 747 and space shuttle that flew together (one on top of the other). Pretty amazing. The museum itself was also very informative and easy to navigate. Plenty of exhibits and hands on stuff for the kids. Touching an actual moon rock was also very cool. I would suggest not eating at their café. The food was terrible and almost inedible. If you can avoid it, I would. My grandson bought a freeze dried vanilla ice cream sandwich in the gift shop because he wanted to try "space food". It was interesting. I would suggest you all try it. Overall, good pricing for what we saw.

We are from the UK and planned to visit on 23rd August on our way from San Antonio to crystal beach. I checked the website for opening hours the day before so we would have had plenty of time. No mention of restricted hours but it was the day Mike Pence was there too and they limited access to the site apart from the initial display centre until 230. They were good enough to let us leave and come back later on but didn’t say that when the tram tours started running again they would only be the 30min version so we didn’t get to see mission control or the training centre. Feel ripped off to be honest as the best bits were left out and they didn’t make it all clear that would happen. Hope others have a better visit
