This museum is trying not only to let visitors enjoy good comedy but also educate them about the creation of that comedy. They did pretty good at the education part but as for the entertaining part they make a few missteps. The presentations are too frenetic. Snippets of routines are presented without the supporting part of the script to give it background. The pace of the presentations is too fast to let one appreciate them and they often tend to jumble together. One technical difficulty is that many of the placards supporting descriptions of the presentations are not well lit and thus difficult to read. The reception is cumbersone and slow. Even though we had pre-paid admissioin it took a long time to process us. They only had two receptionists so the line got long. Then they ask you to interact with a kiosk to enter your comedy preferences ending with a request for your e-mail address, a request that I did not like. Overall, it was an educational tour and reasonably entertaining but it could be improved.

We LOVED the Comedy Center! It is an unforgettable experience that is tailored to your comedic taste. Give yourself several hours to explore the entire museum. That was the only regret of our trip is that we didn't give ourselves enough time to see the entire museum. Loved the Jim Gaffigan show and the interactive experiences. Would highly recommend coming here even if your a few hours away.
