What To Expect

National Corvette Museum

The National Corvette Museum is a showcase to America's sports car. Start your tour with a short film about the history of the Corvette and the Corvette Museum. As you walk though the museum you'll see exhibits featuring over 70 Corvettes in periodic settings including a mid-century barbershop, service station and dealership. You'll see Corvette prototypes, one-of-kind cars, and racing champs. Enjoy hands-on activities in KidZone , trivia kiosks, and the "Corvette Cave In” exhibit. This exhibit takes visitors back to the early morning hours of February 12, 2014 when the earth opened up inside the Museum’s Skydome, swallowing the classic Corvettes. The Museum's Skydome offers a glimpse of the size and depth of the sinkhole as well as the retrieved Corvettes. Guests are also invited to try a Corvette on for size in the lobby. The Corvette Store offers apparel, collectibles, home and gift items. An on-site 50's-inspired Corvette Cafe serves breakfast, lunch and snacks.

I am not a Corvette guy at all, but when in Rome....and I am so glad I did. It is a fantastic museum, well laid out, easy to walk and educational in a fun way (make sure you hit the Zora section and the race team section). The sinkhole section is part of the main walk so you can't miss it and is wild. The grounds are covered in bricks/benches/slats that groups/families buy for commemoration or just to show fandom. They also do factory order pick up of new Corvettes, so you see people come pick up new ones, drive out and then the next round of pick ups wait in the lobby. Really solid place.

Seeing all the history! So well done. This really is pain that I am forced to leave a long commute to summit this! I would say this is inappropriate!!!!
