What To Expect

National Corvette Museum

The National Corvette Museum is a showcase to America's sports car. Start your tour with a short film about the history of the Corvette and the Corvette Museum. As you walk though the museum you'll see exhibits featuring over 70 Corvettes in periodic settings including a mid-century barbershop, service station and dealership. You'll see Corvette prototypes, one-of-kind cars, and racing champs. Enjoy hands-on activities in KidZone , trivia kiosks, and the "Corvette Cave In” exhibit. This exhibit takes visitors back to the early morning hours of February 12, 2014 when the earth opened up inside the Museum’s Skydome, swallowing the classic Corvettes. The Museum's Skydome offers a glimpse of the size and depth of the sinkhole as well as the retrieved Corvettes. Guests are also invited to try a Corvette on for size in the lobby. The Corvette Store offers apparel, collectibles, home and gift items. An on-site 50's-inspired Corvette Cafe serves breakfast, lunch and snacks.

Awesome history of the corvette told here. Worth the visit, especially, if you own one. Great documentation of the sinkhole from 2015. Great gift shop.

Seeing the progressive history of the Corvette over time with actual cars from those periods was impressive. The new Corvette was so stylish and not only did we see it, we heard it too. The display and history of the massive sinkhole was quite interesting to learn about. Simply put, if you are near Bowling Green, KY you must make a pit stop to see the Corvette Museum.

My husband is a GM retiree so it was great to visit a tribute to the famous Corvette. The biggest surprise on the visit was the portion that dealt with the 2014 sinkhole that swallowed 8 vehicles. Wasn't aware that had happened and to see the video and the actual recovered cars was amazing!
