What To Expect

National Corvette Museum

The National Corvette Museum is a showcase to America's sports car. Start your tour with a short film about the history of the Corvette and the Corvette Museum. As you walk though the museum you'll see exhibits featuring over 70 Corvettes in periodic settings including a mid-century barbershop, service station and dealership. You'll see Corvette prototypes, one-of-kind cars, and racing champs. Enjoy hands-on activities in KidZone , trivia kiosks, and the "Corvette Cave In” exhibit. This exhibit takes visitors back to the early morning hours of February 12, 2014 when the earth opened up inside the Museum’s Skydome, swallowing the classic Corvettes. The Museum's Skydome offers a glimpse of the size and depth of the sinkhole as well as the retrieved Corvettes. Guests are also invited to try a Corvette on for size in the lobby. The Corvette Store offers apparel, collectibles, home and gift items. An on-site 50's-inspired Corvette Cafe serves breakfast, lunch and snacks.

The thing My wife and I enjoyed the most was the Sink hole exhibit with the card and hole was interesting.

Just inside the main entrance was a showroom with about eight Corvettes that had been customer ordered. Two new owners drove their new cars right off the floor while we were there. This area, along with the gift shop were free to access, however the main museum did require a fee. There were several discounts available, among them seniors (62+) and AAA. Lot of vintage Corvettes on display, with an exhibit covering the massive sinkhole that opened up under the museum in the past. Well worth the modest price of admission.

We planned our family vacation around going to this museum and we were not disappointed. The cars are wonderful and you can walk around at your own pace. It took about 2 hours in total, and that was with taking a picture of every car and the gift shop. The exhibit about the sinkhole was very interesting as well.
