What To Expect

National Corvette Museum

The National Corvette Museum is a showcase to America's sports car. Start your tour with a short film about the history of the Corvette and the Corvette Museum. As you walk though the museum you'll see exhibits featuring over 70 Corvettes in periodic settings including a mid-century barbershop, service station and dealership. You'll see Corvette prototypes, one-of-kind cars, and racing champs. Enjoy hands-on activities in KidZone , trivia kiosks, and the "Corvette Cave In” exhibit. This exhibit takes visitors back to the early morning hours of February 12, 2014 when the earth opened up inside the Museum’s Skydome, swallowing the classic Corvettes. The Museum's Skydome offers a glimpse of the size and depth of the sinkhole as well as the retrieved Corvettes. Guests are also invited to try a Corvette on for size in the lobby. The Corvette Store offers apparel, collectibles, home and gift items. An on-site 50's-inspired Corvette Cafe serves breakfast, lunch and snacks.

Great inventory of historic vettes as well as some other makes/models. Spent an hour or so strolling through the museum, learning about the history of GM/Corvettes. Would recommend to any auto enthusiast.

A very nice Family trip to the Corvette Museum! -- Wonderful time and very educational. We chose the audio tour with a guide and we enjoyed knowing the "back story" of the cars and people. Our guide, Mike (?) from Chicago was super so was the rest of the staff. There are some benches for those that may need to sit at times. We were able to watch a couple pick up their new Corvette at the museum which was really neat to see the enthusiasm from staff and the new owners! Concerns: There appeared to be a lot of people wanting to get into the sink hole portion of the museum, so perhaps this could be better organized with traffic flow to allow a tour to go into the area without all the interruption. Also, we encountered other guest visitors interrupting the tour as they are not always paying attention to the surroundings. For those that may have some mobility issues, please inform the ticket agents at the beginning or bring assistive devices that can aid in the visit. There is a lot of standing in place at times so if you're impacted by this you may want to plan ahead.
