Class III/IV rapids provide excitement and a trip you will never forget. Amazing scenery, high adventure, no experience required, trips run March through October each year. Day trips meet at 9 AM and include a riverside catered lunch break at the halfway point. Short on time? Try the Afternoon Express run, meeting 3 PM daily.

The rafting trip was so much fun! Our guide (Kirby) was fantastic. We had 10 people in the raft, so we had some power. He knew our names after only and few minutes and that made the trip seem more personable. We all loved learning about the history of the surrounding area and the National Park. He was able to answer all our questions. All the staff members were friendly.

I chose West Virginia Adventures after reading multiple reviews posted for them and other highly ranked outfits in the area. This trip was to celebrate my 50th with my family so I wanted to make sure we all had fun and stayed safe. Our guide Kirby insured both and filled us with quite a bit of knowledge about the area and the river. He was amazing! We did the afternoon New River trip and will definitely go back for the Gauley full day trip some day.

Had an absolute blast! First time white water rafting and Kirby was a stellar guide! He kept us all safe but had fun doing it! Filled us in on so many fun facts about the river and surrounding area, sprinkled in with some great jokes :) gave a great recommendation for a fun easy hike we did the next morning. Everyone at the company was friendly and easy to work with. Can’t wait to take a return trip in the fall and raft down with Kirby again!!!
