We enjoyed a half day rafting trip which ended with a gorgeous view from the river looking up at the bridge.

A few friends and I did the Lower New River whitewater rafting trip and had an amazing time. I had always wanted to go and was not at all disappointed. We were in a raft with two couples and were lead by our guide Gary. He did a great job of directing us while keeping things fun and lighthearted. After our rafting experience on the class III and IV rapids my friends and I each commented on how we'd love to come back and try the class V rapids on the upper gauley. The class III and IV rapids on the Lower New River were awesome (great trip for inexperienced rafters), but wish there were more rapids, with less gaps in between. Nonetheless, I will definitely be back and would use WV Adventures again in a heartbeat.

Thanks for sharing your day with us! The Lower New is a great introduction to whitewater!
Give us a call to set up that Upper Gauley trip this fall while seats are still available!

Rob Dobson's West Virginia Adventures is the best rafting company anywhere. I have brought hundreds of wounded warriors to his company for over 10 years. I would never change to another company. I trust his guides, I love his passion for adventure and I praise his commitment to the warriors of our wars. Rob is an honored veteran, a compassionate businessman, but most importantly he and his company are the best at what they do.
