We really enjoyed the whole visit to this plantation. Our guide there was Frank and he did a good job giving us all the history there and showing us around. I can not even believe the amount of history we learned about there and I look forward to learning more. Our bus driver from the tour company on the other hand, he walked around with us and fell asleep during parts of our tour, and then on the way back to the hotel he said he was taking us all to the swamp tour. We explained we were not going to that. He got on the phone and was very rude to whoever he told he was pulling over and waiting and someone needed to come get us. We checked with him when we got on the bus, he had our names, so I am not sure where the glitch was. Other than that little mess, the tour itself was amazing of the plantation.

This tour was very informative and the guide made all the difference. Our driver was knowledgeable and the tour started from the moment we were picked up. The on-site guide was excellent as well but I can’t say enough about our driver. He was kind, flexible and when there was a small hiccup with the schedule he kept his cool (even when the dispatcher did not!), and he made sure we were all comfortable and in the loop. I recommend doing this tour early (8 am) so you have time to do other things throughout the day; the travel and tour take about 3 hours.
