Cemeteries and catacombs embody capsule histories of a city; this was no exception. We had a knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guide who led us through the small church boneyard, St. Patrick’s stunning basilica, and the underground catacombs. One thing I would suggest is a short but slightly more comprehensive explanation of how European burial rituals evolved from religious to secular. Very enjoyable, thanks!
