We used these buses several times including the night tour.. the sights and drivers were amazing however the tour guides were not always as good as they could have been..John Harkins was the best tour guide by far. He was very clear in talking over the mic and extremely knowledgeable about New York and general history. Other tour guides seemed to know the buildings and sights we saw but not a lot about the history or interesting facts about each.. others spoke so fast in their New York accents that they could not be understood. It is such a shame as the organisation of this company and friendliness is fantastic.

The Big Bus Tour NYC was everything we hoped that it would be and more! All of our guides were very knowledgeable of the areas that they took us through and had a lot of high quality and interesting information to share about the city and its history, both old and new. Guides were also very authentic in their passion for their job, which made the ride an enjoyable experience as well. We rode all of the routes over our first two days in New York and it really helped us to get to see a lot of the things we wanted to encounter without spending so much time walking. The busses also have their own lane in the busier areas of town (Times Square, etc.), so you shouldn't ever be held up in traffic for too long (I don't remember ever having to wait for traffic). I'd recommend bringing water if you are planning to do the whole loop, as it can get hot on the top deck if you're there in summer. Also, ALWAYS try to be on the top deck, as riding the bus inside you will miss most of the attractions and all photo opportunities - unless you are simply riding the bus to get around. TL:DR a great way to spend your first couple days in New York if you're going to be there for the week, and want to see what there is to do.

We used this hoho to get around New York. Each bus had a guide we did the same route sometimes and each guide had their own story to tell and you see a lot more than you would on subway or in a cab👌
