This was my second ride with this company, the first being a night ride. It's not really a tour, as there is no narration. If you want to know what something is, you have to ask one of the crew. The boat carries about 30 people and sails once it gets out into the river. The crew is busy serving 3 rounds of wine/beer. There is a restroom below deck, but you have to climb down a ladder to use it, so only 1 drink for me.

We do want to mention that you are absolutely right when you say that this is not a guided tour. Our crew on our sailing yachts are very knowledgable and will answer any questions you have, but the sailing trips are more like passive tourism. However, we do host many guided tours on our motor yachts ranging from a 1 hour Statue of Liberty Sightseeing Cruise, to a 1.5 hour Statue and Skyline Sightseeing Cruise or our 2.75 hour AIANY Around Manhattan Architecture Tour. All of these tours have guides that point out the sites along with a description of what you are seeing. Superb sailing experience in Hudson Bay and around the Statue of Liberty in a small Group (20 people), and a dynamic and caring crew on a beautiful and large sailboat. For a price barely higher, this far exceeds the experience of the usual overcrowded, noisy and polluting ferries. The drinks offered are a nice surprise in a city where everything is usually extra! A must do absolutely!!!!
