New York Dyker Heights Christmas Lights

Overview
Nothing says Christmas like Dyker Heights, the most famous display of lights on the planet. Locals have been decorating their homes—personally and professionally—since the '80s, making it a true NYC winter wonderland.

THE TOUR WILL TAKE PLACE RAIN or SHINE!

The ride from Midtown to Dyker Heights in Brooklyn is about an hour long on board of our comfortable coach fully heated with a restroom on board.

Your guide will escort you to Lucy Spata's house, the house that started this tradition, and walk you through the most illuminated streets before taking you back to the bus. You will spend about an hour in Dyker Heights strolling around and taking pictures.

The next stop will be at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge in the DUMBO/Brooklyn Heights area of Brooklyn. You will have about 25 minutes to take pictures of the breathtaking Manhattan skyline and the Bridge.

Then you will return to Manhattan via the Manhattan Bridge. The tour ends at the Bryant Park Winter Village.

The sights were beautiful but tour itself was very crowded and the tour guide was not very good. We arrived and was pointed out by the tour guide a few of the main streets and was then left to get on with. I was with my husband so we managed to get around some of the streets as we only had roughly an hour to look and take pictures. We was told to be back at the drop of point by 6pm and no later than 6.10pm as if we was we was we would be left behind the tour guide then turned up late even though everyone else was on time! Tour guide on the coach did nothing but talk about themselves did not speak about the sights on the way. Overall the trip was good and lovely lights and displays but tour guide not good and not very organised.

Hi Debbie, thank you for your feedback. I am glad you enjoyed the tour, but I am sorry you didn’t find the tour guide was as good. Could you please let me know what day you went on the tour?

We enjoyed our trip to see the Christmas lights, Frankie was really lovely and told us a lot about New York and Dyker Heights. I thought it would be quite tacky but it wasn't at all. It is a bit of a journey and we'd have liked more time to take in all of spectacles but we had about an hour tops.

Comfortable bus with an excellent guide. The toilet in the bus was helpful for kids visiting a residential neighborhood without this amenity for guests. The stop at the Brooklyn bridge was not expected from the tour description. A complimentary hot drink would have been a perfect inclusion in the list. Overall a beautiful way to experience the Dazzling Light Display of Dyker Heights.
