The Breakers

Tour includes Admission to ONE of the following Newport Mansions: The Breakers, The Marble House, or Rosecliff. The Breakers is the grandest of Newport's summer "cottages" and a symbol of the Vanderbilt family's social and financial preeminence in turn of the century America. *As of January 3, 2022 all Preservation Society of Newport Mansions are requiring proof of vaccines for all children aged 5 and up. As of January 15, 2022 all adults must also show proof of their Booster Vaccines. This policy is No Exceptions!

Enjoyed a relaxing and informative trolley tour around Newport, with a most interesting narrative by our driver, Pat. Ocean Drive. Downtown Newport. The Mansion District. All amazing. Visit to Marble House was eye opening. To think, this was only a summer "cottage." Alas, no air conditioning, so I'll take the Marriott. LOL Try to take tour at beginning of your stay to give you the perfect overview of Newport.

Six longtime friends from the South visited Rhode Island for a few days this past week and all of us thoroughly enjoyed the Newport Trolley Tour. We agreed that it was a great way to begin our trip by hearing and seeing so much of the history of Newport. And Rob, our guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining...engaged with everyone on the trolley and shared all sorts of interesting information. We all would highly recommend it...was a highlight get of our trip!

Should be first come first serve as only one side of the bus is ocean view, there was no order and people were pushy. Our driver was kind of boring and was asked to speak up multiple times as the back of the bus could not hear him. The buses were hot! Also they give you an hour to see the mansions which is not enough time at all so we ended up taking an taxi back to our hotel. You are better off driving and parking and taking your time at the mansions!
