What To Expect

The Breakers

Tour includes Admission to ONE of the following Newport Mansions: The Breakers, The Marble House, or Rosecliff. The Breakers is the grandest of Newport's summer "cottages" and a symbol of the Vanderbilt family's social and financial preeminence in turn of the century America. *As of January 3, 2022 all Preservation Society of Newport Mansions are requiring proof of vaccines for all children aged 5 and up. As of January 15, 2022 all adults must also show proof of their Booster Vaccines. This policy is No Exceptions!

The guide was from the Newport area originally. He added some personal history to the already rich local history. The tour we selected included a visit to The Marble House. This was definitely a great way to start our visit to Newport.

Thought this would be a great way to get an overview of Newport on our first day in town. Get a little history, get acclimated to our new surroundings. We learned so much. Great not to have to drive ourselves and truly enjoy the breathtaking scenery and sights. Rob was informative and knowledgeable with a great sense of humor! Do yourself a favor and take this tour!!!

Caught this tour out of the visitors center and it was perfect. It was comfortable ride in a trolley bus with a GREAT tour guide who knows her town. Opted for the one mansion tour so she dropped us at the Breakers and picked us up an hour and a half later. Just enough time. Great tour to see the sights of Newport!
