I would like to start by mentioning crew member Sam, well done to you’re recruitment team, he was an absolute gem. Sam is studying biology at college in Hawaii and obviously works here in the summer. He seemed to really enjoy his job and was really enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the wildlife. He chatted with all the guests and even remembered what we were drinking with refills, he went through photographs I had to taken to ensure I knew what birds we saw on the day. The food was surprisingly good of not a little basic and drinks were reasonably priced in my opinion. We were lucky enough to see 2 pods of orcas, a humpback whale, loads of sea otters, seal and sea lion as well as a mountain goat, and all kinds of sea birds. Captain Chris did go to a lot of effort to find wildlife which I appreciate because if he hadn’t the day would have been a disaster! The scenery was nonexistent due to the wildfires, we even heard him talking on the phone saying yesterday they had been 200yards from the glacier and could barely see it. I understand that obviously this is something totally out of their control but a bit of warning that we wouldn’t see much wouldn’t have been an unreasonable thing to ask for! I feel this is something they need to talk about as most of the guests today had the same issue. If they had addressed this issue with us I would have given them a 5. All in all I recommend them on a nice day!

We took this tour with Mike as our captain. The tour was wonderful - well above expectations. Mike expertly guided the boat to our destination, the Northwestern Fjord. While doing so, he spotted marine wildlife, positioned the boat for fabulous photos of Humpback and Orca whales (YES, we saw both up close), porpoises, puffins, sea otters and sea lions, and several marine birds. He shared information about the animals - their habitat, breeding, migration and history. Mike was also very attentive to the safety of the passengers. He consistently gave advance notice of an increase in speed of the vessel, possible (probable) wind and other aspects of weather conditions that might affec where a guest stands on the boat, and suggested options that woulld offer an exellent view while also protectng the guest from the weather. The cruse had excellent support stafff in the galley and as second and third command - attentive to the needs of the passengers. Don't miss this all day tour!!

We had a great day on this cruise, the weather was really wet when we left Seward but it was beautiful and clear when we got out on the water. A very well run tour that started with a shuttle bus pick up from the car park, a great gift shop while we were waiting to board our vessel, plenty of tasty food on board - breakfast, lunch and delicious snacks, a great captain, loads of glaciers and an abundance of wildlife. Tiffany our captain was really funny and kept us all entertained as she went out of her way to make sure we saw all the wildlife. We saw lots of humpbacks, orcas, sea otters, sea lions, harbour seals, cormorants, bald eagles and puffins. So many different glaciers to see on this cruise. The trip wasn’t rushed at all, plenty of room to move around the boat, staff were very friendly and even the shuttle bus driver kept us all laughing on the way back to our car.
