Wilderness Aware Rafting
Meet at our riverside headquarters located just 2 miles South of Buena Vista, Colorado 30-45 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time. Upon arrival our helpful staff will direct you on how to prepare for the day and will make recommendations about rental gear (wetsuits, splash jackets and river shoes) based on weather/ water conditions. After getting changed into your river clothes and receiving a comprehensive safety orientation, we will transport you about 15 minutes to the river put-in location. After paddling through 6 miles of the heart pumping rapids of the Numbers section you will either end your half-day trip and return to our office, or if you are doing the full-day trip you will enjoy a riverside lunch. The full-day trip then continues into the technical class III-IV Narrows section and ends at our office take-out. Don't forget to view your photos before saying good bye to your guide!

Wes and Chris were our rafting guide and driver. They were both very imformative and fun to work with. They did an awesome job!

The guide, Justin, really made this trip not enjoyable. We sat in the back. You would think after many raft trips he would know not to tie up a big duffle bag such that my leg was squished forward and hurt such that I could not paddle properly. When I told him it was uncomfortable, he got an attitude, angrily saying, I will fix it. Well, after he fixed it, it moved again. Again, he got angry. Finally, he moved the bag close to him so I had range of motion. He was loud. He talked too much. It detracted from the whole experience. This is our fourth rafting trip in Colorado. We so recommend Performance Tours, Glenwood Springs, and Echo Canyon. It is a shame that Echo Canyon sent us to this company.

Sabrina, thank you for your review and we value your feedback. Our company takes pride in the quality of our trips, guides and service to our customers. We have dozens of five-star reviews over the past two-years. It is unfortunate that you didn't click with your guide. The Numbers section is for advanced rafters and is a high-intensity experience with little opportunity to stop and re-adjust equipment. Your safety and the safety of the others on your raft was our highest priority. Based upon our other reviews, your experience was clearly an anomaly. We do offer trips on seven different rivers in Colorado, Arizona and Utah and would be eager to have an opportunity to change your opinion and for you to see why we were ranked in 2020 as a top 10 rafting company in the country.

The water was high, the weather was warm. Michael and Wes were excellent guides and somewhat entertaining. Wes taught us the difference between Murphy's Law and Cole's Law. We experienced Murphy's. I recommend this trip highly. We had a great time. Brown Canyon was fun and Numbers was wildly fun. Thanks for a great time.
