What To Expect

Times Square / Theater District

We meet just north of Times Square before we drive north to Harlem

Apollo Theater

After a 15 minute drive, we will arrive in Harlem and walk in front of the Legendary music hall for African-American music and see it from the outside.

Yankee Stadium

A 15 minutes drive will take us up to Yankee Stadium. We may visit the outside of the Stadium and learn about the legendary Yankees.

Bronx

From the Stadium it's another 10 minute bus trip to see the incredible graffiti murals unique to this borough that speaks to the history of hiphop and the community. We will drive by and may stop at specific murals.

Flushing Meadows Corona Park

Take a guided walk featuring the outside of Citi Field home of the Mets baseball team and the magnificent Unisphere from the 1946 World’s Fair

Bushwick Collective Street Art

After a 30 minute bus ride, we'll arrive in Brooklyn! Take a guided walk to see Street art at its finest.

Brooklyn Bridge Park

See the Brooklyn waterfront with its amazing Manhattan skyline view. Many movies were shot here and in Dumbo.

Dumbo

Visit this iconic neighborhood with amazing pictures of the Manhattan bridge and skyline.

Little Italy

After a 20 minute drive, the tour will end in Little Italy where you can explore this neighborhood and catch dinner. Chinatown and Soho are close by if you prefer other types of cruisine.

Camillo was a terrific tour guide and I truly loved this tour! It was a nice comfortable bus ride through all of the areas of NYC that I've always wanted to see. Highlights were the delicious empanada i had from a bordego in the Bronx and our lunch stop in Bushwick where we had lots of good choices for food and beautiful murals to see on many of the buildings there. So many sights and good things to taste! I'd highly recommend this tour

This was a fantastic tour and Jorge was an an excellent tour guide (probably the best I've ever encountered in all my years travelling!) He made the day fly by and feel much shorter than it's 6 hours with his excellent, engaging knowledge and his great sense of humour. It was so refreshing to have a guide who brought their own identity into the tour narration. Often guided tours are quite rigid and clearly scripted. Jorge is a natural speaker who is genuinely open to questions and wants those on the tour to engage in the sights and discussions of what you see. He kept the energy, excitement and pace up throughout the day and made us feel genuinely ethused to be there with him experiencing the different New York landscapes. We chose this tour as we wanted to see an overview of the wider boroughs and go beyond the tourist zones but weren't sure where to start. 6 hours may sound long but it goes by so fast and we got to learn about and experience places such as the true Bronx and a Jewish Hasidic community we otherwise would not have ventured to. If you're looking to get a sense of New York as a whole and a sense of the different community identies outside of the well known spots in Manhattan, then this is the tour. I'd genuinely recommend finding out when Jorge is working and booking the day you do your trip based on this/ him as your guide because his jolly nature and thoughtful commentary made this tour what it was. Finally, it may sound minor to some but I was very impressed at the food and restroom stops that had been planned. It makes all the difference if you're someone with mobility or bathroom needs. Because of this I'd highly recommend to anyone who is looking for an accessible tour in particular. Jorge kept everyone to time without making you feel rushed at each stop and the peace of mind it gives knowing you will be comfortable throughout the day is priceless.
