Not only are the food stops fantastic, but little discoveries along the way included the locations for the album covers of Physical Graffiti and Waiting on a Friend

Hi Stephen I’m glad you enjoyed the pirogi walk and all of it yummy samples. Because we were a party of two I was able to tailor the walk and share with you some historical rock ā€˜n’ roll spots in the East Village. Thank you for walking with me again and seeking me out all the way from down under. Happy 2020. Greg

Greg spoke Polish and knew a lot of people in the neighborhood. A good variety of foods and cultures and historical facts while walking around the neighborhood. Greg showed a lot of enthusiasm for his subjects and was engaging and generous. Unique tour. Recommended.

Greg is lovely and enthusiastic. My teenage son and I enjoyed our two hours and noticed things we probably would never have seen despite walking the streets often. But don’t expect a tour about either pierogis or East European history in the East Village! It was more wide-ranging than focused on the described theme. The one pierogi place we did try was delightful.

Hi Patricia, As the Pierogi Walk website indicates, this walk is more than pierogi samples and the Eastern European East Village experience. I'm happy you and your son enjoyed: Polish apple cake, rugelach, authentic chocolate and vanilla egg creams, Ukrainian Jelly donuts, number-one-Zagat – rated challah, stuffed cabbage and the fresh-made, buttery potato pierogi. I hope you received my follow-up email answering your great east village New Amsterdam history questions.
