They will let you wait for over 2 hours and they don’t run the published schedule at all. The boat trip will not take aproximately two hours as they say. You will be back in little over an hour. The boats are old and dirty, the staff is rude and disrespecfull. It seems that there are way better alternatieves. ADVISE: STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

My friends and I had a HORRIBLE experience with Liberty Cruise. The cruises were delayed because of heat wave (which I understand) but we were never provided updates about delay time and stood in line for 2.5 hours in 100 degree heat. People in line were getting sick from the heat and we were told to keep waiting. Conditions on boat are unsafe. Plastic folding chairs and clearly outdated, unsafe boat. We ended up getting off the boat early because it was so unsafe and such a bad experience. After complaining to customer service they said they do not refund and that I can use the passes next time I'm in NYC. Ha! I will never ever use Liberty Cruise and I recommend you stay far away. It is not worth saving the monty--go with a different company!! Or take the public ferry--cheaper and just as good of view.

For the price it was an ok experience, the boat is very outdated and it is very difficult to move around. The upper level has limited seats and there is no space for people to stand. In the lower level there is no space to stand on both sizes of the boat, in the back there is some space, but the smell of burning diesel was intolerable. I don't mean anything bad, but the guide gave me an impression that he was not a New York fan, he was very negative about the history of NY and gave his opinion constantly, I wasn't there to hear his opinion. Overall despite my comments above, it was an ok ride.
