We wanted to learn about Central Park. With all the walking we had already done in NY we decided to take a carriage ride through the park. I researched NYC Horse Carriages and chose this company. I liked that they had been doing this tour for a long time and the family were still running it. We had never been to Central Park but we were able to find them and identify their carriages easily with the instructions they provided. There are tons of pedicabs and other carriages. Most of them are pretty aggressive to sell you a ride. I didn’t notice NYC Horse carriages doing this to anyone. We appreciated that. We booked online. It was easy. They sent reminder emails the hours leading up to your trip with instructions on how to find them. They also seem pretty flexible on rescheduling. But we were there in plenty of time. Our guide was Peter with his horse, Bazooka. Peter was a real New Yorker that spoke loud and clear for us. I am hard of hearing but had no problems hearing him. Peter took us around the park and pointed out so many facts and even shared a few secrets of the park. Peter gave us plenty of time for a restroom break and photo stops. He took some great photos for us. We chose a nice cool morning tour and Really enjoyed the tour. Peter showed us how to get to certain areas we had passed and we wanted to revisit. It is a very large park and I can get lost easily. I would suggest NYC Horse Carriage to anyone looking for a trusted company.

My Girlffriend (now Fiancee) took a carriage ride with Frank and NYC Carriage Rides. I booked the ride with the intention of proposing to my Girlfriend during one of the scheduled stops. Frank made the process very easy and not only took photos during & video during the proposal he stopped at other notable locations with in Central Park to take additional photos of us. The carriage ride was amazing, Frank had a wealth of knowledge on the park and the surrounding area. Additionally, he took amazing photos of us with our Iphone. He took photos that I didn't even know the phone was capable of taking! Finally, our horse Shazam was vert friendly and greatly enjoyed carrots. Frank and Shazam, thanks again for an awesome experience & we are both glad you were able to be a part of our proposal. Thanks, Doug & Cara

We had a wonderful time on our tour of Central Park. The driver was kind and accommodating of us and our two year old. We appreciated him taking a few pictures for us along the ride. This tour is not to be missed!
