Old Town Key West Literary Walking Tour

Overview
Join us every weekend for the Old Town Literary Walking Tour, a stroll through downtown Key West, illuminating stories of writers that have called our island home. Inspired by David A. Kaufelt’s original literary walking tour, our new tour features the former homes and favorite haunts of writers, including Tennessee Williams, Shel Silverstein, Elizabeth Bishop, and Robert Frost, and highlights tales of our lesser-known local talent.

The tour was packed with information, from the serious to the amusing. We took the tour our first morning in Key West, and it also proved to be a wonderful introduction to the major landmarks--and not-so-touristy--things to see in town. Highly recommend!

Anyone with the slightest interest in books and literature will enjoy this tour. We all know about Hemingway and Tennessee Williams staying in Key West, but there are many more writers who have lived or spent time here. Scott kept it fun and informative. Great tour. And you get a good walk in too.
