Join us every weekend for the Old Town Literary Walking Tour, a stroll through downtown Key West, illuminating stories of writers that have called our island home. Inspired by David A. Kaufelt’s original literary walking tour, our new tour features the former homes and favorite haunts of writers, including Tennessee Williams, Shel Silverstein, Elizabeth Bishop, and Robert Frost, and highlights tales of our lesser-known local talent.

This is such a great way to explore the town! Our guide shared so many interesting stories (stories including Tennessee Williams, Hemingway, Bishop, Buffet, Merrill and his ouija boards, Frost, Silverstein, Cabot, Stevens, Ellison, and more) and there truly is something about getting to see where these incredibly talented individuals stayed. I especially was excited to learn that Judy Blume is at her bookstore every week, and was able to bring home autographied copies of her books home to my littles. I loved that our guide also took time to email us even more information and spots after our tour--these things are always so much more fun when your guide's passion for the topic is obvious, and our guide Scott's certain was!
