Old Town Key West Literary Walking Tour

Overview
Join us every weekend for the Old Town Literary Walking Tour, a stroll through downtown Key West, illuminating stories of writers that have called our island home. Inspired by David A. Kaufelt’s original literary walking tour, our new tour features the former homes and favorite haunts of writers, including Tennessee Williams, Shel Silverstein, Elizabeth Bishop, and Robert Frost, and highlights tales of our lesser-known local talent.

It was so nice to do a tour that combines literature and history. Sarah is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic and tells great stories I honestly had no idea that Key West had such a rich literary history. It was fascinating. If you live to read and want to get a different perspective on Key West beyond the obvious The this is a great option. So glad we did this

Top notch literary walking tour of Key West. Excellent information and the tour guide is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Be prepared for 90 minuets of standing/walking. Bring a hat and a bottle of water.

I have always enjoyed Key West for the beauty, quirkiness, and informality, but I have a new awareness of its literary history and lively present. I didn't know that Key West has always had a literary sub-culture of real acclaim. Tour guide Sarah Thomas is knowledgeable and engaging. There was not a dull moment! I had expected 90 minutes to feel like a long time, but it flew! I definitely recommend this tour. It was so information-packed that I'll probably take the tour every time I come to Key West.
