Olympic National Park Tour from Seattle

Overview
Olympic National Park is well known for having several different ecosystems to explore: subalpine forest, wildflower meadows, temperate rain-forest, and the rugged Pacific Shore. This twelve hour tour allows you to sample each of these systems with the added advantage of having an experienced guide to answer any questions that may arise. Come explore tide pools along the coastal beaches, roam among old-growth forest, trek atop mountain ridges with breathtaking vistas and stand by glacier-birthed rivers and lakes. The tour begins on a leisurely ferry boat ride over the Puget Sound to the Olympic Peninsula. The exact itinerary will be curated by the tour guide however our first stop will usually find us at Hurricane Ridge where you will hike to an incredible view of the valley below and the snow-capped mountains in the distance. We will move on to Crescent Lake and the seasonally Sol Duc Valley, and a sandy beach along the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Please plan on approximately six miles.

This was a perfect tour! Look no further. Joel was always two steps ahead of our every need. He even switched ferries and saved us two hours. The coach was comfortable and the rest stops just right. The views cannot be described.

The ferryride was only 30min and during the day we saw a lot. We started with Hurrigane Ridge (45min), visited then Salt Creek (40min) and Lake Crescent (1,5h). At Lake Crescent there are some trails, I believe the loop would have been app. 4 mile hike, so if you do the hike it will take all of your time at Lake Crescent. It is the main stop so either you would have lunch here or on the bus. But at Lake Crescent you would also like to have some time at the pier etc. and views are courgeous. I walked up to the bridges on the trail and ordered then lunch to go from the lodge's restaurant to have it on the bus on the way back. If we would have had 15 more minutes at the lake, I would have prefered to have my lunch outdoors sitting on those chairs at the shore watching over the lake. A bit pricy excursion but for a solo traveller not intending to rent a car this was the only option. The guide Cory was to my liking - he knew how to read people and he had a good sense of humour. We had a nice group and views were great so no regrets!

I brought 2 adult children and one teenager with me. I feel that we did more riding than sightseeing. There were few stops and a lot of riding. The tour guide forewent one of the stops but did not explain the reason, just said we were going to a dairy farm for ice cream. I did not travel 1000 miles to go to a dairy farm. The reason could have been the weather, it just wasn't explained. Three fourths of the way through the tour, the tourguide said, do we want to keep going or leave the park to go eat. Everyone obviously did not want to do that. The few things we saw were beautiful and it is a beautiful, must see park, but save your money and go to the Mt. Ranier tour.

I would like to hear more about your tour and who your guide was as we normally do not go to any farms etc. Your experience does not sound like one with Customized Tours. Please give our office a call to talk more.
