We did the Orca Cove tour and loved it. We were met by Jillian at the docks, she brought us back to the office where they outfitted us for the trip. They gave us rain gear and kayak skirts ( so water wouldn't get into the kayak) and a place to store anything we didn't want to take with us. She took us by boat to Orca Cove and gave some information about the area on the way. We boarded another boat, which serves as the base for the trip, where we met Greg and Rob. Greg and Jillian are the owners. both very personable and friendly. Greg gave us some paddling tips and loaded us into kayaks. Rob was our guide and he took us around the area giving us information about the area , showed us a salmon stream, we got to see a large assortment of starfish and sea stars . even an eagles nest . He found a dead fish got mama eagle to fly down to take a look at his offering. We even saw some sea lions popping up out of the water to peek at us. It was beautiful place to paddle. The time flew by and after we were done they had snacks for us, their own smoked salmon , very good! I would highly recommend this tour. Gives you a verydifferentt view of Alaska

My husband and I recently took the Orca Cove 4 hour kayak excursion. Right from the time we were met at the dock until the end of our excursion we were more than impressed with the people at Southeast. The owner who personally drove us out to Orca cove was wonderful and so very interesting telling us facts about the area and answering any questions we had. Our kayak guide James, was amazing and made us feel very comfortable. He was very informative about the wildlife and the area and was as excited about seeing the Eagles as we were. He really made our kayaking excursion the highlight of our week. I would recommend Southeast Sea Kayaks to everyone.

Our kayak trip to Orcas Cove was the first of many tours in our two week adventure to Alaska. My husband was very leery about kayaking - afraid he would tip over and get stuck if he did make it in - and it was his first time. Southeast Sea Kayaks assured us we had nothing to worry about and they were so right. Friendly, informative, and helpful, they suited us up with raingear and boated us to the kayaking site where we met our guide Tony from Utah. We were the only ones on the schedule so we had his undevided attention. He was the best! so informed and a book of knowledge about the area and its sites. He showed us seastars and sun stars and pointed out the bald eagle with its nest and baby. The waters were calm and so smooth for beginner kayakers. It was so relaxing and enjoyable and a true pleasure. After exiting the kayak, we were treated to a salmon snack with cream cheese and crackers, etc. which were excellent. Owner Greg brought us back to land and was a delight and fun. Their shuttle met us at the pier thermometer for pickup and also brought us back to our destination. What a fun trip and would definitely do again. Thanks Tony and Greg for an enjoyable time!
