Original La Jolla Sea Cave Kayak Tour for Two

Overview
The Original Sea Cave Kayak Tour (90 Minutes in Length) offers unforgettable guided tours through the La Jolla Ecological Reserve. Each tour is lead by experienced guide(s) who ensure participants safely navigate through the unique ecological habitats while seeing different types of marine life.

This highly-protected and unique area boasts one of the highest concentrations of sea-life in the West Coast. Guests commonly encounter seals, sea lions, and a multitude of birds and fish, and lucky guests might even see dolphins or whales!

Towards the southern end of the Ecological Reserve, La Jolla's Seven Sea Caves patiently await, allowing participants to witness their beauty. Weather permitting, participants can kayak through the large sea cave that goes from the ocean into the Emerald Cove.
Entry into the Emerald Cave depends on the safety, and is not guaranteed. Participants must be five years or older to participate in the tour.

Valid for up to two people to ride in a double kayak.

Super bad tour. We went out with big waves "safety is our first concern" yeah ride making money is. When we finally where out in the sea a lifeguard came a told the guild there is a red flag, go back and cancel the tour? no let's wait a just float around it's super fun.... And that for just 97 dollars and 25 extra dollars for a wetsuit and a locker. Oh yeah no refunds or anything we can't change the weather conditions. So for summary safety first? no money first. Will you be kayaking? no you will be waiting. We you see any annimals or fish? No you won't. We the people in the store be polite? No the will laugh in you face and let you now no refund i'm so sorry yeah right....

First off I am a world traveler and have learned to do my research before I book a reservation. I read as much as I can about the company and the tour, and then I make phone calls. This company in my experience is not at all concerned about customer satisfaction or a safety. First of all they do not tell you that you will walk approximately a half a mile to the beach before and after the tour, next they ā€œsellā€ you on a wetsuit that you absolutely do not need! And charge you for a locker, and sunscreen. We get down to the beach and are not given any safety instructions, such as what to do if the kayak flips, how to signal your guide for assistance, what to do in the water if you do flip. The demonstration on the beach was 2 instructions only , how to flip the paddle to go forward and backwards, no instruction how to steer. The kayaks also have a weight limit, that is written on the Kayak, that everyday California isnā€™t aware of or just ignore, as the two people in our Kayak exceeded. The cave tour that is advertised did not happen, we got to the caves and our ā€œguidesā€ deemed it unsafe, as we watched other kayak company tours enter the caves. We were told itā€™s up to the guides if we enter the caves or not. Finally you do not have time to get to dinner if you do the 3:20 tour. We had reservations at Georgeā€™s on the terrace for 6:45 pm for a sunset dinner. Georgeā€™s is voted one of the best places in the world to see the sunset. I called multiple times with many questions, I specifically asked if we would have time to get back to our hotel and back to La Jolla and was assured we would have more than enough time. Needless to say another lie to make a buck. We missed our dinner reservations and ended up eating in n out! We traveled from Kansas and Minnesota to make this trip and I am beyond disappointed with this company and regret booking this tour. The next day we did adventure RIB rides, they provided safety instructions, sunscreen for your face and the suit to keep you warm, and a place for your belongings all at no additional expense! Please skip Everyday California and go ANYWHERE else! Worst experience I have ever had with a ā€œguided tourā€

We had a great kayak trip and felt safe and guided throughout the tour as we came from south FL. The only bummer was - the weather was rocky, and they didnā€™t tell us until we kayaked nearly a mile to the caves, that we werenā€™t allowed to kayak in due to safety. Savannah was a great guide though!
