Original La Jolla Sea Cave Kayak Tour for Two

Overview
The Original Sea Cave Kayak Tour (90 Minutes in Length) offers unforgettable guided tours through the La Jolla Ecological Reserve. Each tour is lead by experienced guide(s) who ensure participants safely navigate through the unique ecological habitats while seeing different types of marine life.

This highly-protected and unique area boasts one of the highest concentrations of sea-life in the West Coast. Guests commonly encounter seals, sea lions, and a multitude of birds and fish, and lucky guests might even see dolphins or whales!

Towards the southern end of the Ecological Reserve, La Jolla's Seven Sea Caves patiently await, allowing participants to witness their beauty. Weather permitting, participants can kayak through the large sea cave that goes from the ocean into the Emerald Cove.
Entry into the Emerald Cave depends on the safety, and is not guaranteed. Participants must be five years or older to participate in the tour.

Not a long kayak trip but wonderful guides Joe and KJ know a lot about the areaā€™s natural history. You do get completely wet, not sure they are totally clear about that online! Saw baby sea lions and some folks went into the sea caves. All in all, worth the reasonable fee

Hi Amy, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Happy to hear that you had a pleasant experience out on the water with Joe and KJ. It always depends on how conditions are as to how wet you'll get, but its alway best to be prepared. For your convenience we do rent wetsuits. Come back soon. -Best Everyday California

We had a blast! Our guides were so informative and fun. We had a great time and learned a lot about the LaJolla/Torrey Pines area. Would definitely recommend to anyone who will be in the area to go to Everyday California for their kayaking/surfing needs.

My husband and I did the Kayak for Two tour and enjoyed it, for the most part. It was more challenging staying upright in the kayak than we thought itā€™d be. We had kayaked on lakes before, but never in the ocean with all the waves. We got very sea sick and capsized a few times. However, we loved hearing about the history and stories of the area, seeing the leopard sharks swimming beneath us, kayaking in the caves, and watching the sea lions. We really enjoyed our tour guides CJ and Caleigh. We especially appreciated Caleigh for giving us ginger candies to help with the motion sickness and helping us when our kayak capsized. She was very kind and helpful. If I were to do this tour again, I would make sure to take some sort of motion sickness pills beforehand and I think Iā€™d opt for single kayaks instead of the doubles for easier maneuvering.

Hi Melissa, Thank you for taking the time to leave your honest review, And also thank you for joining us with a positive mindset. The ocean can be unpredictable, some days you'll just get splashed a little and others you'll get soaked. Glad to hear that KJ and Caleigh were attentive and took care of you, we do recommend motion sickness medication for anyone who is prone to any form of motion sickness. We will be looking forward to your next visit and will make sure we have 2 single kayaks ready for you. - Best Everyday California
