Original La Jolla Sea Cave Kayak Tour for Two

Overview
The Original Sea Cave Kayak Tour (90 Minutes in Length) offers unforgettable guided tours through the La Jolla Ecological Reserve. Each tour is lead by experienced guide(s) who ensure participants safely navigate through the unique ecological habitats while seeing different types of marine life.

This highly-protected and unique area boasts one of the highest concentrations of sea-life in the West Coast. Guests commonly encounter seals, sea lions, and a multitude of birds and fish, and lucky guests might even see dolphins or whales!

Towards the southern end of the Ecological Reserve, La Jolla's Seven Sea Caves patiently await, allowing participants to witness their beauty. Weather permitting, participants can kayak through the large sea cave that goes from the ocean into the Emerald Cove.
Entry into the Emerald Cave depends on the safety, and is not guaranteed. Participants must be five years or older to participate in the tour.

Valid for up to two people to ride in a double kayak.

No caves. Even though the tour specifically said itā€™s a cave tour, we werenā€™t even taken near them. When we asked the tour guide in the midst of the tour, they casually said they were told by their supervisors that they couldnā€™t go! No one had informed us anything until then. The weather was great and there were a bunch of other tours that went past us right to the caves, but not us. If u intend to pay $120 for a kayaking experience then this tour is great. But if you intended to at least see the caves up close, please choose another tour or be left disappointed as we were.

Abigail, Our goal every day is to see sea life in La Jolla's Marine Reserve, which is world famous for kayaking, snorkeling and diving (due to all the sea life), to explore La Jolla's unique geology & natural beauty from the water and to kayak inside of Emerald Cave (If it's safe). Most importantly we want you to have fun, and I'm sorry you clearly did not enjoy it. Because the ocean is an uncontrolled environment we have to put safety as our number one priority. Due to hazardous conditions at the time of your tour, the San Diego lifeguards asked us to not go inside to avoid any serious accidents. We would love to have you guys come back and try another time or simply another experience, ie SUP, surf or snorkeling. Contact our GM directly at brian@everydaycaliforniaā€¦ and he can help you set something up. Also some more good news, you guys were never charged $120, it was only $48! Enjoy the Spring/Summer, and we hope to see you out on the water again.

Unfortunately , it was raining , and super choppy so we didnā€™t get to go into the caves. Our tour guide was excellent though and we had an amazing time! He taught us all about the area and its history, pointed out some sea lions and seals , and showed us their cool local fish! This was the highlight of the trip just because it was such a unique experience ! Thank you!
