Original La Jolla Sea Cave Kayak Tour for Two

Overview
The Original Sea Cave Kayak Tour (90 Minutes in Length) offers unforgettable guided tours through the La Jolla Ecological Reserve. Each tour is lead by experienced guide(s) who ensure participants safely navigate through the unique ecological habitats while seeing different types of marine life.

This highly-protected and unique area boasts one of the highest concentrations of sea-life in the West Coast. Guests commonly encounter seals, sea lions, and a multitude of birds and fish, and lucky guests might even see dolphins or whales!

Towards the southern end of the Ecological Reserve, La Jolla's Seven Sea Caves patiently await, allowing participants to witness their beauty. Weather permitting, participants can kayak through the large sea cave that goes from the ocean into the Emerald Cove.
Entry into the Emerald Cave depends on the safety, and is not guaranteed. Participants must be five years or older to participate in the tour.

Valid for up to two people to ride in a double kayak.

This was our first trip to La Jolla area and based on a recommendation, we booked a kayaking cave tour. My wife, 2 daughters and I absolutely loved the tour. The wildlife was abundant including seals, lots of fish, a sting ray, lobster and most amazing, sharks. The reef creates a natural barrier in which lots of fish are protected from predators. As a result, the plethora of species was incredible. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. We will return!

DSpyk, We love hearing stories like that! We've been told that there's more sea life per capita in La Jolla Shores then anywhere else in California, so it's awesome you guys got to see a good snapshot of what the La Jolla has to offer. And since you guys have done a tour with us, remember to let us know when you guys return, and you and your family will get half off rental equipment (snorkel gear, SUPs, surfboards and boogie boards). Thanks again!

Was very disappointed we did not actually go into the caves like some pictures suggest. Just paddles to them. Heard stories about how we are over a kelp bed. Now weā€™re over a rock habitat. Those are the caves and then paddles back. Other kayak tours were going through the caves. Just not this one.

Hey Chris, Thats a bummer you were so disappointed. Our goal every day is to see sea life in La Jollaā€™s Marine Reserve, which is world famous for kayaking, snorkeling and diving (due to all the sea life), to explore La Jollaā€™s unique geology & natural beauty from the water and to kayak inside of Emerald Cave (If itā€™s safe). Our tour guide's number one priority is keeping you guys safe, and since the ocean is an uncontrolled environment, we can't ever guarantee to get everyone in there. Most importantly we want you to have fun, and Iā€™m sorry you clearly did not enjoy it. All you needed to do was contact me, we have a satisfaction guarantee.
