We went to out of Africa park in February. We did the VIP tour as well as the sloth experience.
We stayed in camp Verde an found it very easy to find. Well marked route and signage. Parking lot is gravel and huge, lots of room and overflow with washrooms.
Check in was easy. Worker at the front directed us to gift shop to get our name tag and showed us where to wait for safari bus.
Alex was our tour guide and was awesome! First stop rhino and Alex was very knowledgeable. Continued on to the savanna to see giraffes, zebras and many kinds of antelope come right up to the safari bus. Giraffes sticking there heads right in! Alex provided all kinds of info on every animal.
We saw lions, tigers, hyenas. Stopping at each enclosure(which are huge!) and learning about each individual animal and how they arrived at the park. Animals are rescues.
We had a private ācritter cornerā where we learned about the capybaras. Then to lunch which was included. Then tiger splash and feed a tiger which was all included. VIP go first, which was great because there was quite the line and we had more to see.
We watched the reptile show. Then We followed the predator feed for a few enclosures and learned more about the lions, tigers and hyena, before heading to the sloth exhibit.
The sloth encounter was very interesting. Nadia and Cassie were very knowledgeable and good with the kid. Highly recommend this add on, short and a great experience.
We took the shuttle back to the gift shop where we had great service from the attendant. Good selection too.
Overall this place is awesome! And huge! This is not a zoo, but definitely a safari. All the animals have an incredible amount of room. And to think theyāre all rescues is great, some tigers even from apartment buildings. All the animals look very healthy as well!
We canāt wait to go again! Will be adding zipline to our adventure next time!
