Have been wanting to do this for years. My significant other refused to soar 6000 feet up in a spinning rocking, glass bottom gondola! My adventurous 13year old grandson is visiting from Washington State, and we happen to be in Palm Springs for the weekend. Need I say more? Pros: price is right, a family of 4 would run about 100 bucks, depending on ages. The ride is only about 10 minutes, No glass bottom, the only time it rocks gently is when it passes 3 support towers. The rotation is smooth and slow. Beautiful 360 views going up and down. The operators entertained us with information going up, and jammin' music coming down. Everyone was kind and friendly towards each other, while we sang and cheered as we passed the 3 towers. There are 2 good places to eat, one buffet style for fast and easy , and a more leisurely, upscale restaurant. Delicious food, more good views. As we were sitting at the tables, a monstrous hawk happen to swoop close by the windows to show off its magnificent beauty. The valley itself is awe inspiring, easy, close looping trail for us city folk, and 54 miles of routes for the more prepared and experience campers. Much more to see and do, with great knowledgeable volunteers. The Cons: returning from the valley floor up the ramp(s) to the main building is the hardest, if your legs and lungs are not in shape, but I saw babies and elderly doing it in an easy and slow climb. There are rest areas with shade and more views of the mountains and trees . Altogether it was great for deep breathing clean fresh air, and toning the lower body. Am planning on returning asap, this time with my significant other.

Great view, alittle scary but i felt safe. Be sure to wear hikingshoes, there are many trails at the top to explore. If i lived closed by i would have had a annual pass for this . It was soo cool and nice at the top . Fresh air ! A fun day

Fun, exciting and safe. Cooler up at the top, various food options. Able to see the entire Desert Valley.
