This was a trip with friends and other half. Heights are definitely not my thing. However, got on the Ariel tram, it set off, I shut my eyes and gripped the rail. I have to say once I opened my eyes and saw the views, then realised the floor of the car was rotatating as it moved up and you were getting a 360 degree view it was quite fascinating. Once at the top I was so glad I had done it. The views were breathtaking. Well worth the trip. The downward journey was much easier!!!! The staff and the facilities were excellent and on the journey up explanations were given as to the way the car was moving.

We went in the summer so hiking was not an option for us in a lot of place. However, it was much cooler on the top and the day was beautiful. We had a great time and enjoyed it. Not for anyone with difficulty walking as even going in the tramway was up a steep incline to walk.

We did the tramway yesterday and had also booked the dining package, a little unsure what to expect. The tram trip is great, superb views and then at the top it opens out at the back on to lush green trails. We also ate there and this was well worth the extra cost. The trip down was made more memorable with the tram controller putting on some great tunes which had everyone singing along making you forget you’re swinging on a cable staring at over 8000 ft at the top of the mountain. Sweet Caroline and My Girl being well covered.
