This is a great way to cool off on the Palm Springs area. Husband hiked while I relaxed on the patio behind the Visitor Center. Only problem I noticed was that the door had a very loud annoying squeal, and everytime someone went in or out, it set my nerves on edge. We also did the Native American movie and you could hardly hear the movie for the noise. Other than that, it was a nice experience

We were in PS last month and everyone said the tram was closed due to the rain washed out of the road. While driving around PS, we drove by the tram entrance and the sign said they opened today... Great. We weren't really prepped for that day so we came back the next morning. When arriving the next morning, we parked in lot A. The pitch of that lot has to have a 25% grade. You park sideways and our truck was angled like I was 4 wheeling somewhere. Be careful. Use the bus. We had to walk up the parking lot and it about killed us. The line was short, we were on the tram in 20 minutes. Get there early. When we came back the line was over an hour. The view on the top is phenomenal. Try to go a clear day. It was windy up there and the back side of the building was very cold. We had lunch there it was pretty good. When in PS, this tram ride/view is a must see.

From the parking lot to the top totally enjoyable. Do not miss this if you are in Palm Springs. Great view and extremely educational. Plus fifty four miles of trails to explore.
