We took a few hours & headed to the Tram in Palm Springs as it was our first visit. It was super sunny on the valley floor but not once we arrived at the top of the mountain. NOT a criticism of the operation. Just be forewarned that Nature has the final say.... always. Restaurant options at the top are also very limited; everything has to be transported up via those same tram cars, so quality is so-so. Peeks Restaurant serves guests but our food was luke warm & rather uninspired.

This is one of three aerial trams like this in the world! What makes it unusual is that the tram rotates as it ascends the mountain!! No matter which direction you;re facing when you board the tram, you'll get a view of everything!! It's truly spectacular! Be prepared for a temperature differential from the desert floor to the top of the mountain of 30 degrees as you ascend! ////there are plenty of trails to explore on top so wear shoes appropriate for the activity!! You definitely enjoy the experience!!

Excellent adventure! The trails were fun to walk and there was literally something for everyone, no matter the fitness level. I saw people in wheel chairs, with baby strollers, and the arduous hikers burning thousands of calories by the minute. The views and sharp contrasts were absolutely beautifully! There is even a restaurant at the top. I walked around during the day, but next time I’ll go at sunset, have dinner and watch the lights come on from the valley below. I bet the stars would be awesome as well!
