If you visit Palm Springs this trip is a must. The views from the top over 8000 feet up are stunning.

The tram is large, fun, safe and an excellent ride to the top of the mountains above Palm Springs (8200 feet in elevation). The tram floor moves 360 degrees during the ride so that everyone gets equal chances to see everything during the 15 minute ride to the top. There are a café and a nice restaurant at the top plus some short east trails (concrete path) to take once up there. Great photo opportunities.

This is an excellent way to spend the say with family, young and old. The tram ride is exciting and the staff are friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. One could easily spend a whole day at the top, enjoying the view, going for a stroll (or hike) and having a meal. The air is fresh and the forest smells like vanilla-butterscotch-that alone almost makes it worth your while. The ticket cost is reasonable but he 'official photos' are very expensive.
