Did this as a side trip while staying at a resort in LaQuinta. I purchased our tickets and our parking pass online well before our date. I choose the first time slot ( 10am) We arrived at about 9:50 to no lines and we were able to park in the closest lot. They seem to be very efficient and timely with boarding because we were all in the tram and taking off at 10:01. Once at the top you can decide to just do the observation decks or do a little side hiking ( loop trails under 2 miles) to get great views of the desert below. We did the two trails you are allowed to do without a permit. That was enough for us so we poked around the exhibits then got on the next tram down. Total time we were there was just over 2 hours which was enough for us. We brought our own water/snacks and that was perfect for us. Just know that while the trails are not strenuous but at 8000ft elevation some people might be out of breath just walking... sunscreen and a hat are also good ideas especially in the summer months.

Missed my day due to too much celebrating my birthday but it looked like it would have been amazing. Oh yeah tried to go next day but due to it being a voucher they couldn't honor it

Beautiful Views, gorgeous weather. Excellent trip to Palm Springs. Disappointed with Tripadvisor advertising. Bought the tickets ahead of the trip in order to avoid long lines. I ended up doing line like everybody else and the price was cheaper at the venue. I recommend to buy the ticket there
