The Tramway is subject to delays and periodic shutdowns due to unforeseen circumstances and is not responsible for ticket refunds or the inability to redeem a voucher
Tramway cars hold 80 people each and there are no seats. Passengers remain standing throughout the journey up the mountain
Distance is approximately 12,800 feet, with a vertical ascent of 5,873 feet - 15 minutes travel time one way
The tramway is known as a double reversible type of aerial tramway. Each car remains on one pair of track cables moving up and down without turning around. Each car serves as a counter balance to the other, the descending car is helping pull the ascending car up the mountain
Strollers are permitted on this tour
During holiday periods, you may experience long lines. We recommend you travel outside of these peak times to fully enjoy everything the tramway and mountain have to offer.
There is parking in 13 paved lots near Valley Station. There is free shuttle service from parking lots to Valley Station entrance available weekends and holiday periods
Hand sanitiser available to travellers and staff
Regularly sanitised high-traffic areas

Face masks are optional in the building and onboard tram cars.

Terrific experience. Very worthwhile trip. Got there early and got right on. Didnt see the benefit of having pre-purchase vouchers however, because we had to wait in the same ticket line to redeem the vouchers for tickets. Fortunately there were only a few people in front of us. Very scenic tip up and back...wonderful weather, too. Over a hundred degrees at the base and a pleasant 66 degrees atop. Will plan to return someday.

Incredible site and experience. Beautiful scenery and lots of information well presented. Good for those with accessibilty issues. Staff helpful and considerate and facilities excellent.

The tram ride is always awesome, regardless how many times you take it. The 50+ miles of hiking trails at the top are an added attraction, as well as the gift shops and restaurants. Not only do I enjoy the trip and trails myself, I always try to introduce any visitors I have to the beauty that awaits one at the top of the tramway.
