One key tip: the web site showed tickets were sold out, but we were able to buy them in the ticket office. This experience was well worth the $30. At the base, we had T-shirt weather. At the top, we were hiking in snow. The temperature difference surprised many people. Come prepared! The Desert View Trail Loop was very nice and easy to follow. There were 5 'notches' that gave us different views of the valley floor. Food in the cafe was decent. We did not try the higher end restaurant. We found nice items in the gift shop.

This experience was better than I expected. The ride up to the top with the floor rotating give everyone a view from all sides. Some of the best views of the desert floor are available from the outside of the tram station. If you want to go for a hike you can link up 2 trails and see the forest and some over looks in 60-90 minutes depending on your pace & stops.

The Aerial Tramway is really a must-do experience when visiting Palm Springs. Booking through the Tramway’s website requires picking a day and time, and our preferred time wasn’t available. Booking through Viator allowed us to book a visit on the day we wanted, and I easily saved the pdf on my phone, showed it to the ticket agent and selected a time when we arrived. We went on a weekday late afternoon, got right in, and really enjoyed the ride, hiking in the park and the amazing views! Note, parking is extra, and although we were able to park in the closest lot, they have shuttles from further lots.
